Estes Park Summer Activities
The Lake Estes Golf Course and the Estes Park Golf Course are both within minutes of our hotel, offering 27 holes of stellar scenery and great golf. The Estes Park Golf Course, a par 71, 18-hole course just south of our hotel, was named the sixth most beautiful course in America by The Golf Book of Lists. The Lake Estes Golf Course, an executive par 31, nine-hole course, sits just west of the Estes Park Resort on the shores of Lake Estes and is open for winter golf between November and April 15.
The area around our resort is renowned for its excellent fishing and fly-fishing spots, including the Big Thompson River, Fall River and the wide variety of streams that run through nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. Before setting out on a Colorado fishing adventure, be sure to head to a local business for fly fishing tips, supplies and most importantly, a license.
Spend a day on a guided Colorado horseback riding trip and take in the natural wonder of the Rockies as you ride trails through dense forests and wide open meadows. The area immediately surrounding Estes Park has a number of ranches and stables that provide guided tours. No matter if you want to take the family on a quick one- or two-hour trip through the high country or want to spend a full day exploring the Rockies on horseback, one of the conveniently located area ranches has the ride for you.

With a wide range of rivers in the vicinity of our hotel, including the Colorado River, Poudre River and Big Thompson River, quality Estes Park whitewater rafting is easy to find.
Lake Estes Marina is located right next door to our lodge, offering guests immediate access to boat and equipment rentals. Rent canoes or kayaks for one, or reserve larger fishing boats, paddle boats, or even pontoon boats that carry up to nine passengers. Head out on the lake to enjoy unparalleled views of the Rockies.
Estes Park Aerial Tramway is one of the area’s most popular attractions. It provides unparalleled views of the surrounding landscape, and allow you to truly appreciate Colorado’s spectacular scenery.
